    The innovative heat-treated pine used in the 013 Osa Outdoor Dining Table is stronger, lighter and better suited to withstanding the elements than its indoor alternative. Henrik Tjaerby’s design uses a standardised T shaped section and minimal components in a modular system. The ingenuity of construction means that Osa Tables and Benches can be span great lengths. Osa is an explicitly functional design that is robust, resilient, and sturdy enough to withstand wind and harsh weather conditions. Pair it with matching benches for a complete outdoor dining table set designed to last.

    The Osa outdoor dining tables are made from heat-treated pine, Lunawood ThermoWood®. ThermoWood is a non-toxic material produced using only heat and steam. The heat treatment makes each **outdoor dining table** weatherproof, so no additional surface treatment is needed. ThermoWood reacts quickly to UV light and begins to shift toward a beautiful silver tone once unboxed. Your outdoor dining table set will reach its final colour after about a year outside. Pine is a soft wood and will get dents and bruises over time. But don’t think of them as flaws. Embrace them. They’re signs of life lived and furniture loved. Pine isn’t life-proof. It’s proof of life. All our products are locally made by select Finnish makers and specialists. Every pine tree is harvested from sustainably managed Finnish forests.

    Henrik Tjaerby

    Henrik Tjærby attended the Danish Design School before moving to China to work as an interior designer, completing a Product Design MA and working in several internationally renowned studios. Today, Tjaerby brings a wealth of production experience to his studio and workshop in Spain. His design language is straightforward, hiding nothing from the consumer, and whilst interested in multiple materials and crafts, wood is at the heart of his practise.
