Welcome to the Vaarnii website and online store.
These Terms and Conditions are valid from 25.09.2024.
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to the use of Vaarnii Oy’s (business ID 3128679-3, “Vaarnii” or “we”) website (https://vaarnii.com/) and the online store on the website and to the purchase of products through the online store.
Read these Terms carefully. By using Vaarnii’s website or purchasing products through the online store, you (“customer”, “user”, or “you”) accept these Terms and agree to be bound by them.
We reserve the right to amend these Terms by publishing new amended Terms on our website. Please carefully read the Terms in force at the relevant time before placing an order. Our online store is intended only for consumer customers aged 18 or over. If you are not a consumer, please contact us (info@vaarnii.com) if you wish to order products from us.
The applicable Finnish and EU consumer protection laws will apply to the relationship between us and the customer. Notwithstanding the above, if the customer is a consumer residing in an EU member state other than Finland, the customer may also invoke the mandatory consumer protection laws of their place of residence.
Contact Details
Registration & Use of the Website
Customers may register as a users of the Vaarnii website by filling out a registration form and choosing a username and password. Customers may also order products without registration.
You are responsible for all orders placed under your username and password. You undertake to ensure that the username and password are not disclosed to any third party. You must contact us immediately if you notice or suspect that your password has not been kept secret or that your account has been misused. We have the right to block your access to your account without any reason.
Ordering & Order Process
Products are ordered in the online store by adding them to the customer’s shopping cart and paying for the contents of the shopping cart using an online payment service. By placing an order in the online store, you are deemed to have read and agreed to the Terms in force at the time.
A binding contract for the delivery of products is formed once Vaarnii sends the customer an order confirmation email which confirms that we have received your order and will process it. A second e-mail with shipping information and a tracking number will follow once your order has been shipped.
Promotional, discount, advantage, or voucher codes are valid for one-time use only and cannot be combined with other codes or offers. These codes or offers cannot be applied or credited retroactively once the order has been placed.
All customer information is treated confidentially. Contact details provided during the order process will not be used for any other purpose than to fulfill the order or to address issues related to the order, unless otherwise specified.
By placing an order, you confirm that all information provided is accurate and complete. Vaarnii reserves the right to refuse any order at our discretion, including in cases where we suspect fraud, errors in pricing, or stock unavailability. Any such refusal or cancellation will be communicated to you promptly and you will be refunded any fees that you may have already paid.
Pricing & Payment
The prices of products are displayed on the website. The prices displayed on our online store are valid until further notice. We reserve the right to change our prices from time to time. Product prices do not include delivery fees which we charge separately.
All product prices listed on our website are in EUR. When products are sold and delivered to EU countries, the product prices include VAT in accordance with Finnish legislation. When products are sold and delivered outside the EU, the customer is responsible for local taxes, customs duties and other similar costs.
We may, at our own discretion, offer a variety of product-specific discounts to customers. Discounts cannot be combined with any other discounts or offers that may be available to the customer.
Vaarnii delivers its products based on a delivery agreement made with a third-party delivery partner. Delivery costs and any additional fees will be added to the product prices and be calculated at checkout and displayed before completing the purchase.
Payment methods in the online store include Klarna Invoice, Credit Card, Finnish Online banks and Mobile Payments. Payment methods are also introduced while completing the purchase.
Payments are handled through payment service providers Paytrail Oyj or Klarna Bank AB, or through Shopify Pay. Service Providers Paytrail Oyj and Klarna Bank AB (publ) cooperate with Finnish banks and credit institutions. The relevant payment service provider appears as the recipient of the payment on a bank statement or card invoice and the payment service provider will forward the payment to us. Both payment service providers are authorized payment institutions. Shopify Pay is a payment system integrated on the Shopify platform, operated by Shopify Inc. and Stripe Inc. If you pay with Shopify Pay, our name will appear as the recipient on a bank statement or card invoice. Stripe is an authorized payment institution.

Delivery
We ship to the following EU countries (only mainland): Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and The Netherlands. If your country is not listed above, you may check options through one of our dealers (https://vaarnii.com/pages/local-dealers) or inquire us for availability (info@vaarnii.com).
Although these Terms are intended for consumer customers only, we note that business-to-business orders and project orders for architects and designers are shipped worldwide.
The delivery method and costs are based on the size of the items in each order. Smaller items, such as chairs and stools are delivered to the Customer’s door, while larger items, such as tables and outdoor furniture, or orders consisting of multiple items, are shipped on pallets and delivered curbside. The delivery method of each product is displayed on the product page. Please find the product pages on our website (https://vaarnii.com/collections/). The delivery costs will be added to the product prices at checkout.
Currently, we offer the following delivery methods: Delivery to the door by UPS and curbside delivery by Db Schenker. The delivery method of each product is displayed on the product page. The delivery costs are based on the size of the ordered products and the delivery costs will be calculated and added to the product prices at checkout.
Orders are processed within 3–5 business days. Exact delivery times depend on the stock status of the product, which is displayed on each product page (https://vaarnii.com/collections/). The general delivery time is 5–7 business days for items in stock and 6–8 weeks for items not in stock.
We shall not be liable for our obligations under these Terms if we are unable to perform our obligations due to force majeure.
If you order more than one product at a time, we reserve the right to deliver the ordered products in separate batches.
We are liable for loss or damage of the product during delivery. We are not liable for loss or damage of the product once the product has been delivered to the customer or another destination for collection by the customer.
We schedule delivery with the contact details provided at checkout (e-mail, phone number, and delivery address). The customer shall ensure that all details are correct and provide any additional necessary information, such as a door code if needed.
Orders are delivered on weekdays during standard business hours. Our delivery partner will send you a tracking number once the order has been shipped. Should the proposed delivery time be inconvenient, you shall liaise directly with our delivery partner to reschedule. In the event that you are unavailable at the scheduled time, your order may be returned to our warehouse, and re-delivery will need to be arranged with us, subject to an additional fee based on the initial delivery cost.
Delivery does not include placement of items inside the residence or the removal of packaging materials or pallets. For “White Glove” delivery service, please contact us (info@vaarnii.com) prior to placing your order.
Cancellations & Returns
As a consumer, you have the right to cancel your order by notifying us no later than 14 days after receiving the products that you have ordered. If your order is delivered in several separate batches, the cancellation period expires 14 days after you have received the last batch of products in your order. To comply with the cancellation period, you shall send us your cancellation notice before the end of the cancellation period. If the last day of the cancellation period falls on a Saturday or a public holiday, the cancellation notice may still be submitted on the first working day after the last day of the cancellation period.
For clarity, you may always cancel an order if the order has not yet been shipped for delivery.
To cancel an order, you may either fill in a cancellation form and send it to us by e-mail at info@vaarnii.com, or send a free-form cancellation notice, for instance by e-mail. Your cancellation notice must clearly state your decision to cancel the order and return the items if the items have already been shipped for delivery at the time of cancellation. Please indicate the order number of the transaction in question in your cancellation notice. Please note that cancellations and returns must always be notified to us, and it is the responsibility of the customer to prove that the notice has been made.
You may only return to us undamaged and unused products. The items must be in their original packaging.
If you have already received the products at the time of cancellation, you must send the products back without delay, and no later than after 14 days of making the cancellation notice. We recommend that you use a traceable method of shipment, as you are responsible for the products, until they reach our warehouse. You are responsible for any damage done while returning or shipping the product to our warehouse.
Returned products will be inspected and returns will be approved only if the products are in good condition. If the return is approved, we will refund all payments received from you, except for extra costs incurred from you choosing a delivery method other than the cheapest standard delivery method offered by us during the ordering process. You are responsible for the costs associated with returning the products.
The refund will be made to you without undue delay, and no later than 14 days after receiving your cancellation notice. However, we may withhold the refund until we have received the returned products or until we have received proof of you having sent them back.
The refund will be processed using the same payment method that you used for the purchase, and no fees will be charged from you for the refund.
If there is a defect in the product, you have the right to claim compensation from us. The expiry of the return period does not impact this matter. The conditions for cases of defect are set out in the following section.
Defects & Complaints
Our liability for defects is determined by applicable law. If you notice a defect in a product, please contact our customer service even if the cancellation period has expired. However, you must report any defect within a reasonable time after discovering the defect or after you should have discovered it. You may report a defect by contacting us by e-mail, mail, or telephone.
When you make a defect report to us, please describe the flaw, deficiency, or deviation in the product that you consider a defect. Please also provide your order number and attach a few photos of the defect in the defect report.
We strive to ensure that the information and images on our website are accurate and up-to-date. However, due to the handcrafted nature of some of our products as well as the material of the products, slight variations may occur in color or texture. These variations are not considered defects.
Warranty
All Vaarnii products come with a two-year warranty against manufacturing defects. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, damage caused by misuse, or failure to follow care instructions. For more details, please contact us (info@vaarnii.com).
Personal Data
Your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy (https://vaarnii.com/pages/privacy-policy). By placing an order, you agree to our use of your information as described in that policy.
Intellectual Property
The Vaarnii website and its content, including images, texts, product information, videos, trademarks, and logos, are the property of Vaarnii and/or its partners. No rights to any intellectual property are granted to the website user or customer. Unauthorized use, sharing, distribution, transmission, public display, storage, modification, or copying of the website and store content or material is strictly prohibited.
Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be exclusively governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Finland without regard to its choice of law provisions. Any contractual disputes are primarily settled through negotiations, in other cases disputes are settled at the Helsinki District Court, Finland or, if the consumer so chooses, at the district court of the consumer’s place of residence in Finland.
In the event of a dispute, we always recommend first contacting us to resolve the issue. Additionally, the consumer has the right to contact the Consumer Advisory Services (https://www.kkv.fi/kuluttajaneuvonta/) and request a recommendation for dispute resolution from the Consumer Disputes Board (https://www.kuluttajariita.fi/fi/. It is advisable to contact Consumer Advisory Services first before seeking a recommendation from the Consumer Disputes Board, as the Board may dismiss your case if you have not first contacted Consumer Advisory Services.
Consumers also have the option to use the European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform (ODR) (http://ec.europa.eu/odr) to resolve the dispute.
